Getting started

From sign-up to your first finished project in a few minutes.

Creating an account

Head to sign up and create an account. VocaSync supports two ways to sign in:

  • Passkey— the quickest and most secure option. Your device (fingerprint, face, or screen lock) is the key, so there’s no password to remember or leak.
  • Email & password — a traditional account, with your email verified during sign-up.

You can add a passkey later and manage both methods at any time from Account & notifications.

The free tier

Add a payment card and your account unlocks a recurring monthly free allowance — no charge unless you go beyond it:

  • 10 minutes / month of forced alignment.
  • 1,000 characters / month of standard speech synthesis.

Both allowances reset at the start of each month. Transcription, translation, and High Fidelity synthesis are not part of the free tier — they draw on your credit balance. See Billing & credits for the full picture and pricing for current rates.

Your first project

Once you’re signed in, open Projects from the sidebar and start a new one. Every job in VocaSync is a project. To get a feel for it, try a synthesis project:

  1. Choose the synthesis service and pick a voice.
  2. Paste the text you want spoken.
  3. Select a quality tier and an output format.
  4. Submit. The project moves through pending → processing → completed, and your audio appears with download links when it’s done.

Only pay for what completes

Failed jobs don’t cost you anything — charges settle only on successful completion, and bundle workflows refund any stage that fails.

For a guided breakdown of each service, see the Core services guides.
